Learn what it takes to make your own silver jewellry.

This workshop will explain all the basic tools needed to make your own unique piece of silverwork. We will discuss properties of metals and explore how heat effects the behaviour of metals.

Techniques covered include: safety, sawing & piercing, hammering, filing, soldering, sanding and polishing. 

You will begin to work on your piece, with complete guidance from the tutor who will be on hand to help you every step of the way. You will be able to take your finished piece home at the end of the day, ready to wear!

Material supplied:

  • 2 test copper plates for practice
  • 8g silver – this can be sheet or wire, or a combination of both
  • extra silver will be charged at the market price (approx. Rp8000/g)
